(1.10.19) Darrell Haemer: It's only fitting that the new year started with a discussion about change. Darrell is unique in that he's my first nonfiction Book Talk guest, and also that he doesn't drink coffee AT ALL but is perfectly happy with the large mug of Skittles I gave him to sip on. Change can be a good thing, and Darrell's perspective on it is something I'm doing my best to embrace.
(11.29.18) Kim Watt: Kim's my first international guest, and we talk about why she can't commit to living in one country after living in at least a dozen of them. Oh, and she's written some wonderful cozy mysteries with some of the most hilarious dragons and Ladies of a Certain Age—but beware: her books will make you want to eat cake, and lots of it.
(10.11.18) J.T. Buckley: J.T. is a smart guy. He brought his own Chicago Manual so we'd have the proper ambience. And he brought homemade muffins! Oh, and we talked about writing. You don't want to miss his best advice (which I forgot to ask, but he told me anyway), and to find out what a panlotser is.
(5.3.18) S.K. Anthony: I invited Kat over for coffee so we could discuss the mother of all books, The Chicago Manual of Style. I honestly can't believe people weren't fighting to be part of this one.
(9.21.17) Brandon Ax: We discuss Brandon's new release, Light Bringer, the third book in the Light Bringer Saga. We also drink coffee (sort of), take a peek at a page from the book (sort of), and watch my cat, AndyAndy, dive full force into caffeine addiction.
